Editorial Rework

My final project for my Magazine Design course was to redesign an entire magazine, addressing design issues, typography, content, and organization. I created a redesign of Mother Earth magazine, taking into consideration enhancing, reducing, and adding design aspects to the magazine, while staying true to the overall brand identity. We were asked to redo the magazine with 32 pages, including 2 cover options, a two-page table of contents, a front-of-book section, an editor’s or publisher’s letter, a masthead, at least one long feature, at least two short features, and a simple stylebook for typography. I have included some of my favorite spreads from the magazine.
